lynda.com take courses and learnThe Sewickley Public Library is excited to announce the recent addition of Lynda.com to their collection of eResourcesLynda.com is an online resource with more than 3,000 course offerings and over 130,000 videos on topics of web design, education, media production, business, and more. 

The Sewickley Public Library Reference Department has a focused goal of providing technical literacy training for the public. Library staff continue to offer introductory computer classes and clubs to help prepare area residents for an increasingly digital world. We also offer 1-on-1 tech café sessions that provide individual assistance.  Lynda.com allows us to offer patrons of all ages a collection of more in depth and specialized courses than we are able to offer in person. 

Access to Lynda.com will save an individual $240 a year, the cost of a basic membership.  Anyone with a Sewickley Library card can setup an account using his or her card number and pin to start learning immediately.  Access is available from any location: at home, on the road, or in the library.  Patrons can even use the Lynda.com mobile app or download the station on a Roku streaming device. 

Lynda.com joins Tutor.com, Databases AtoZ, Cypress Resume, New York Times, and the Sewickley Herald / Sewickley History online archives as another online resource available for Sewickley Library users.
