2019 Annual Report of the Sewickley Public Library

We are pleased to present our 2019 Annual Report now available for online viewing, featuring the theme “Find Your Place at the Library”. Little did we know when we chose that theme how poignant it would become during these days of social isolation when we are missing our beautiful library spaces and the people who come together within them.

The report is being released to coincide with National Library Week, April 19th – 25th, an annual observance sponsored by the American Library Association designed to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians, and to promote library use and support. Despite the current closure, your library is still available to you, and our librarians stand ready to assist with online resources.

We are grateful to our donors and public funders who help to sustain our $1.1 million budget each year, including the Quaker Valley School District, the Allegheny Regional Asset District, the Friends of Sewickley Public Library, Masonic Village, and private individuals who value Sewickley Public Library.

As the world begins to come together again, our library stands ready to help our patrons to navigate what will certainly be a new normal, and our school students to find supplementary educational support. Until then, we are thankful for the members of our community who are working on the front lines of this pandemic to provide healing to those who need it, and we wish good health to all.
