2018 Annual Report Released

The annual report of the library is now available for viewing online, with a limited number of printed copies available at the circulation desk. This year’s report focuses on the value that Sewickley Public Library brings to the Quaker Valley region – $8.7 million* in library lending and services provided free to our patrons! We are grateful to our donors and public funders who help to sustain our $1.1 million budget each year, including the Quaker Valley School District, the Allegheny Regional Asset District, the Friends of Sewickley Public Library, Masonic Village, and private individuals who value Sewickley Public Library.

The report is being released just in time for National Library Week, April 7th -13th, an annual observance sponsored by the American Library Association designed to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians, and to promote library use and support. Sewickley Library is at the heart of our village, and has public spaces where people of all backgrounds can come together and connect. Our return on investment is close to 700%; for every dollar of funding we receive, we turn it into nearly $7 of educational services for our community, serving 12,314 library card holders and welcoming 233,846 patrons through our doors in 2018. Our library is a vibrant place filled with enthusiastic lifelong learners.

We are grateful to our community for your unwavering support, and proud to present our annual report filled with the accomplishments of our library, the endorsement of our patrons, and the generosity of our donors. Thank you!
