National Library Week Banner

Each year, the American Library Association recognizes the value public libraries bring to their communities with a week-long celebration highlighting the essential role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in serving their communities, especially during challenging times.

SPL was proud to serve the Quaker Valley Community in the past year with reimagined programs and services that were safely delivered to patrons from curbside or through virtual platforms.  You can read all about it in our 2020 Annual Report: Resilience and Innovation, due to be released by the end of April.  Watch our website and social media for the announcement of its release; donors will receive a letter in the mail.  Thank you to all of the donors who supported our efforts through a difficult year.  We are grateful for your loyal generosity, and the value you see in your public library.

How can you celebrate National Library Week?  If you don’t already have a library card, get one!  Help someone you know sign up for their own library card.  Come and browse our collection, or try a new program or service listed here in this newsletter; and if you’re not already on our list of donors, we would appreciate your support.  National Library Giving Day takes place on April 7th. You can find information at www.sewickleylibrary.org/donate. Our work could not happen without the generosity of our community.  Thank you, Quaker Valley!
