The Sewickley Public Library Gift Book Program offers a unique way to recognize the special people in your life.

Start them off right.

Is there a new baby in the family?  Announce the birth with a book in baby’s name – a great way to bring babies and books together! New neighbors? Welcome them to the community with a book given in their name.

Recognize them.

Thank a volunteer for their efforts, commemorate the tenure of a long-time club or board member, or recognize the retirement of a business associate by donating a book in their name.

Celebrate with them.

Give a gift book in celebration of a birthday, anniversary, graduation, or any special occasion.

Remember them.

Honor the memory of someone special with a book in their name. You can ensure that person’s interests will live on at the Library.  Were they a history buff, an avid gardener, golfer, or a spectacular cook? You can remember them with an addition to a subject area that matches their special talents.

How do I donate a book?

To donate to  the Gift Book Program, use the donation form to make you tax-deductible gift (minimum suggested amount $25.00) and select the Memorial or Honor Donation option. A new book will be selected by one of our Librarians to honor the person or event of your choice. Your gift book will be identified with a book plate.  An acknowledgement card announcing your gift will be sent to the individual you name.  Your name and the honoree’s name will also be listed in our newsletter, unless otherwise specified.
