We are proud to celebrate our Friends of the Sewickley Public Library this week during the 13th annual National Friends of Libraries Week, coordinated by United for Libraries, a division of the American Library Association.

The Friends of SPL have been supporting our library for more than 25 years. They encourage financial support of the library, increase awareness and utilization of the library’s resources, and enhance its image. They are the library’s largest financial supporter, providing more than $80,000 last year, and their biggest fundraiser of the year –the 19th annual Savoring Sewickley –is tonight!

We are grateful for all of their hard work to make Sewickley Public Library a gem in our community. Please thank the following board members when you see them for their dedicated service and commitment to lifelong learning in the Quaker Valley:

Jamie Chappell Marianne Cibulas Debra DeMeis Teresa Duff Georgi Fishter – Treasurer Bobbi Irving – President Kate Jeffe Scott Jubeck Cindy Koval Ryan Prem Leslie Riker – Vice-President Gwen Safran Judy Spanos Clayton Steup Maria Swanson – Secretary Saundy Waseleski Paulina Zunino
