Doug Oster

The Sewickley Public Library is proud to welcome back Pittsburgh’s garden guru, Doug Oster, in April! Mr. Oster is an accomplished author and host of the popular radio show “The Organic Gardener” on KDKA radio every Sunday morning. He writes a weekly gardening column for The Green Voice, the newsletter for Pittsburgh Earth Day, and also appears on KDKA-TV’s Pittsburgh Today Live as a contributor. Oster’s most satisfying accomplishment though was founding Cultivating Success, a garden program for foster and adoptive children. The program operates in two counties near Pittsburgh.

Mr. Oster will share his expertise at the library on Monday, April 11 from 7-8pm. He will show how to have a thriving garden using natural gardening techniques. This one-hour class will cover soil preparation, composting, planting tips, plant choices and much more. Space is limited for this popular program and registration is
required.
