The Sewickley Public Library was recently awarded PA Forward Star Library status from the Pennsylvania Library Association. The PA Forward initiative promotes five literacy skills that libraries offer to enhance the lives of community members – basic, information, civic and social, health, and financial literacy.
The Bronze Star designation emphasizes the value of the services and programs that the library offers – programs like book clubs, story times, senior computer classes, craft programs, test prep courses, tech help and resume services.
The PA Forward Star Library designation helps to underscore the library’s mission to be a life-long learning center for all ages.
