November 6, 2018 is the next General Election. It’s right around the corner! Are you registered to vote? Do you know where your polling place is? Do you need an absentee ballot?

Pennsylvania residents can find answers to all of these questions and more at votespa.com. Votes PA is an Official Pennsylvania Government website where you can:

  • Access online voter registrations
  • Check your registration status
  • Apply for an absentee ballot
  • Find your polling place
  • Contact your Election Office

There is also a lot of detailed information on Pennsylvania state voting rules and restrictions, types of elections, and voter rights.

Of course, you can always access paper registration and absentee ballot request forms at the Reference Desk at the library. Registration forms must be submitted 30 days prior to an election. The librarians at the Sewickley Public Library are happy to get you the forms you need and/or help you navigate the Votes PA site.

For additional voting resources for Allegheny County residents, or to find out how to become a poll worker on election day, visit Allegheny County’s Elections website.

And don’t forget to vote on November 6th! Polls are open from 7am to 8pm!
