Sewickley Public Library Book Groups

We have a variety of Book Groups at Sewickley Public Library!

Whether you’re looking for mysteries, romance, something quirky or your next great read, we have many vibrant book groups to enjoy. Learn more about each group below.

Mystery Book Group

All are invited to discuss an assortment of mystery mayhem with us in the Mystery Book Group! Whether it’s a thriller, crime, spy, detective, or whodunit novel – we cover them all. New members are always welcome.  Meet up with us monthly on the second Tuesday at 7:00pm. You are invited to attend one particular evening or to join us for the series (August – May).  Please see a Reference Librarian to request a copy of a book and for further information.

Brown Bag Book Group

Join the Brown Bag Book Group for engaging discussions on a wide variety of books, from compelling fiction to insightful nonfiction. Enjoy thoughtful conversation in a welcoming and relaxed setting. Meets on the third Thursday of the month at 11:30 a.m.

Fourth Tuesday Book Group

All are welcome to join the Fourth Tuesday Book Group for lively discussions exploring a variety of fiction and nonfiction titles! This welcoming, informal group meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm at the Sewickley Public Library to share thoughts and perspectives on each selected book and author. New members are always welcome, and no registration is required.

Bring Your Own Book Club

All the social fun of a book club – no need to read in advance! This meet-up is part quiet reading time, part show-and-tell. Spend a little time cozying up in the library reading any book of your choice, and then join fellow literary enthusiasts to talk about titles and get recommended reads.  Meets on select Thursdays. From 6-7pm silent reading time, then from 7-7:30pm a book discussion.
