We have a variety of Book Groups at Sewickley Public Library!

Whether you’re looking for mysteries, romance, something quirky or your next great read, we have many vibrant book groups to enjoy. Learn more about each group below.


Mystery Book Group

The Mystery Book Group meets informally on the second Tuesday of the month for an open discussion of each selected title and author. The Book Group meets at 7:00 p.m. in a meeting room at the Sewickley Public Library.  New members are always welcome.  You are invited to attend one particular evening or to join us for the series.  Please see a Reference Librarian to request a copy of a book and for further information.

Brown Bag Book Group

Bring your lunch and join the discussion led by Rosa Lamour Dorman and Librarian Mary Jean Voigt. Meets on the third Thursday of the month at 11:30 a.m. Stop at the Reference Desk to order a copy of this month’s selection.

Fourth Tuesday Book Group

The Fourth Tuesday Book Group is an informal gathering featuring an open discussion of each selected title and author. An effort should be made to read each book prior to the meeting. The Book Group meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in a meeting room at the Sewickley Public Library.  New members are always welcome.  You are invited to attend one particular evening or to join us for the series.  Please see a Reference Librarian to request a copy of a book and for further information.

Bring Your Own Book Club

All the social fun of a book club – no need to read in advance! This meet-up is part quiet reading time, part show-and-tell. Spend a little time cozying up in the library reading any book of your choice, and then join fellow literary enthusiasts to talk about titles and get recommended reads.  Select Thursdays | 6-7pm silent reading time + 7-7:30pm book discussion with light snacks. No need to register.
