National Library Week (April 6-12) celebrates the important role libraries play in our communities. It highlights the resources, programs, and services libraries offer, as well as the dedicated staff and volunteers who make it all possible. This week reminds us that libraries are not just for borrowing books, but also vibrant hubs for learning, creativity, and community connection.
Help us celebrate National Library Week with a very special documentary screening that will be held at The Lindsay Theater.
- Movie Screening – Free for All: Inside the Public Library
- Monday, April 7, 2025
- 7:00 – 8:30pm

Free for All: Inside the Public Library tells the story of the quiet revolutionaries who made a simple idea happen. From the pioneering women behind the “Free Library Movement” to today’s librarians who service the public despite working in a contentious age of closures and book bans, meet those who created a civic institution where everything is free and the doors are open to all.
A Q&A session will follow the screening.
