Join us for an artist reception showcasing Johno Prascak’s eight incredible canvas paintings depicting the iconic Carnegie Steel Homestead Mill Works.

Meet Johno and learn about what inspired the piece currently displayed in the library’s Reference Department and the key locally sourced ingredient he used to create it. Johno Prascak is a Munhall born artist whose unique work has been featured at the National Aviary, PNC Park and many other famous Pittsburgh Locales.

The reception on Thursday, May 16 from 7:00 – 9:00pm will include an exploration of Pittsburgh steel history and heritage with Ron Baraff and Susie Mulkeen from Rivers of Steel.
