Sewickley Public Library invites families with young children to attend its annual Preschool & Kindergarten Open House on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This free, drop-in event will take place at the library and is open to all families exploring early childhood education options in the Quaker Valley area.

The Open House brings together representatives from a wide range of local preschools, childcare centers, and kindergarten programs. Families will have the opportunity to meet teachers and program staff, ask questions, and gather information about curricula, enrollment, and learning environments—all in one convenient location. With Fall 2026 registration for many programs beginning in mid-January, this event offers a timely opportunity for parents to make informed decisions and meaningful connections.

Children are welcome to attend with their caregivers. The library will offer fun, engaging activities for kids, allowing parents time to speak with educators and program representatives.

Participating programs include:

  • The Village Preschool at Laughlin Children’s Center
  • Robinson Township Christian School
  • Fern Hollow Nature Center
  • Sewickley Montessori (YMCA)
  • Sewickley Academy
  • FriendShip Preschool
  • Noah’s Ark Preschool and Kindergarten
  • The Learning Tree Preschool
  • Quaker Valley Kindergarten
  • Saint James Catholic School
  • Baden Academy Charter School
  • YMCA Pre-K @ Osborne Elementary School
  • Allegheny Land Trust

The event is drop-in with no registration required. In the event of inclement weather, the snow date is Saturday, January 17.
