Pelvic Health Is Often Overlooked but an Essential Part of Wellness

Sewickley Public Library will host a three-part educational program, Women’s Health Series: Pelvic Health Through the Stages of Life, designed to provide accessible, evidence-based information on an often overlooked area of women’s wellness.

The sessions will explore how the pelvic floor and core support the body through different stages of life, addressing common concerns such as incontinence, pain, pregnancy and postpartum changes, and age-related shifts. Each program will offer practical insights, clarify what is common versus what is treatable, and highlight supportive strategies participants can use in everyday life.

  • Tuesday, March 3 Pelvic Floor & Core: The Basics, focusing on how the pelvic floor, core, and spine work together and addressing leakage, incontinence, and pain.
  • Tuesday, April 21Pregnancy and Postpartum (at Any Stage or Age), covering pelvic floor changes, diastasis recti, prolapse, safe movement, activity, and pain.
  • Tuesday, May 19Changes as We Mature, exploring pelvic floor and core changes over time, including leakage, prolapse, spine alignment, and bone health.

Each session runs from 6:30-7:30pm and may be attended individually or as part of the full series. Registration is required.
