The Sewickley Public Library has crossed a major milestone in our Keystone grant and Strategic Plan priorities. With the help of a dedicated committee of staff members, alongside the Board of Directors, we completed a rigorous search for an architect to help design our future first-floor renovations.
We are pleased to announce the selection of Studio St. Germain as the architect for the renovation project. Nathan St. Germain, Principal & Founder of the local architecture firm, recently collaborated on our Broadstreet Terrace project in 2025 and helped create that award-winning outdoor space we enjoy today.
Studio St. Germain’s motto of “building to give back” reflects the same community-oriented, service philosophy we share at the library. Combined with his experienced team, Studio St. Germain is an exciting partner for our project.
The renovations are made possible in part by a Keystone Grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania which provides funds to create more accessible, flexible, and welcoming spaces. In alignment with our Strategic Plan, the redesigned first floor will better serve the needs of the entire community, with a special focus on teens and tweens.
The firm has already begun preparations for this initiative. While analyzing important library usage and statistical data, they will also assess feedback about the current functionality of our first floor and potential improvements to enhance the experience for everyone. Please join us in celebrating this significant step forward together. We eagerly anticipate the possibilities that lie ahead!
