The PA ABLE Savings Program gives people with disabilities a way to save for a huge range of qualified expenses while maintaining important benefits such as Supplemental Security Income and Medicaid.

Of course, individuals can save for wheelchairs, assistive technology and Braille readers. But they can also save in a PA ABLE account for a community college, a pottery class, a new bike or their favorite sneakers. Account owners can use ABLE funds to fulfill dreams or to meet every day needs like groceries or rent. Education, housing, transportation, employment training or support, health, prevention, and wellness and more are considered qualified ABLE expenses.

It’s easy to save with payroll deduction, Social Security benefits or contributions from family and friends. People can easily access their PA ABLE accounts online or with a debit card.
