We know how frustrating it may be that the Sewickley Public Library building is closed. (We miss being there daily, too!)
Fortunately, the library is more than what you find within its walls. We offer lots of resources online to meet our community’s needs – from ebooks and magazines to newspapers and databases. When you can’t get to the library, let the library come to you!
eLibrary – ebooks, audio & more…
Since you cannot physically go to the library to get new books, check out our ebook collections online. Use OverDrive/Libby or Hoopla to get new ebooks and audiobooks that you can download directly to your device or computer. Looking for a light read? Magazines are available online via OverDrive/Libby and Flipster. We have full-access to Consumer Reports online, too!
We also offer movies/videos for streaming online through Hoopla. All movies are available & ready to check out immediately.

Other Online Resources
Want more than just ebooks? Check out the other online resources available from the library. Take this new-found free time to practice a new language with Mango Languages or Duolingo, learn a new skill with Lynda, or research your family tree with FamilySearch. Or follow all that’s happening in the news with remote access to the New York Times online.

Looking for online resources for your kids? Our Librarians have updated our Web Resources for Children & Families page. Find library-sponsored databases, lots of educational sites, and fun sites with games for when the kids just need a break.
No Late Fees!
Remember, there are NEVER ANY LATE FEES on ebooks or any of the online services. When a due date comes, the item is automatically checked back in.
Speaking of late fees…do you currently have physical items checked out from the library? Don’t worry about rushing to return them. We are extending item due dates and waiving item fines during the library’s closure, so you can hold on to those materials.
