This fall, the Borough of Sewickley is kicking off a historic preservation initiative. It starts with a cultural landscape survey, to collect data on the entire built environment including buildings, structures, objects, landscapes, and artifacts that have significant historical, architectural, or social/cultural value to the community of the Borough. Big Pine Consultants LLC was hired by the Borough to design the survey, conduct research, perform field work and report on the results of the survey.
The hope is for people to share places and sites that are important to them, either individually or collectively. The online survey will launch Monday, September 25th. Big Pine Consultants, LLC would like to have as many responses as possible by the first Public Outreach meeting which will take place at the Sewickley Public Library on October 24 at 6:30pm (Note: this is a rescheduled date). However, Big Pines will continue to accept responses until October 31, 2023.
There will also be hard copies available at the Library and Borough Manager’s office.
